At LightMyself, we are committed to providing quality lighting products and excellent customer service. This Warranty Policy explains the warranty coverage available for products purchased through www.lightmyself.com.
This Warranty Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, Return & Refund Policy, Shipping Policy, Privacy Policy, and other applicable policies.
1. Warranty Coverage
LightMyself warrants that eligible products purchased directly from www.lightmyself.com will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use during the applicable warranty period.
Unless otherwise specified on the individual product page, the standard limited warranty period is one (1) year from the date of delivery.
Some products may include a longer or shorter warranty period. Where a different warranty period is stated on the product page or in the accompanying documentation, that stated period will apply.
2. What This Warranty Covers
Subject to the terms of this Warranty Policy, the warranty generally covers manufacturing defects, including:
Defects in materials;
Defects in workmanship;
Manufacturing defects affecting normal product function;
Components that fail during normal intended use due to manufacturing defects.
Where a valid warranty claim is approved, LightMyself may, at its sole discretion:
Supply replacement parts;
Repair the product;
Replace the product with the same or a comparable model; or
Provide another appropriate remedy where repair or replacement is not reasonably available.
Warranty remedies are provided only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
3. What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover damage or failures resulting from:
Normal wear and tear;
Improper installation;
Installation performed contrary to product instructions;
Installation by unqualified personnel where professional installation is recommended;
Incorrect electrical wiring;
Incorrect voltage or incompatible electrical systems;
Improper maintenance;
Accidents;
Abuse or misuse;
Negligence;
Unauthorized repairs or modifications;
Cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality;
Damage caused during customer handling after delivery;
Acts of nature, including floods, lightning, fire, earthquakes, storms, or similar events;
Damage caused by pests or environmental conditions;
Commercial or industrial use where the product is intended for residential use only.
Consumable items, including decorative light bulbs or other replaceable components supplied with certain products, are generally excluded unless otherwise stated.
4. Installation Requirements
Lighting products should be installed by a qualified electrician or other appropriately qualified professional in accordance with all applicable electrical codes and safety regulations.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that:
The product is compatible with the local electrical system;
The installation location is suitable;
Appropriate mounting hardware is used;
The installation complies with local building and electrical regulations.
Improper installation may void warranty coverage to the extent permitted by applicable law.
5. Electrical Compatibility
Customers are responsible for verifying that the selected product is compatible with the electrical standards applicable in their country or region.
Examples include, but are not limited to:
110V
120V
220V
230V
240V
Damage resulting from the use of an incompatible electrical supply is not covered by this warranty.
6. Natural Materials and Handcrafted Products
Many lighting products incorporate natural materials or handcrafted finishes.
Reasonable variations in:
Color;
Texture;
Grain;
Veining;
Finish;
Surface appearance; or
Hand-applied details
are natural characteristics of the product and are not considered manufacturing defects.
These natural variations are not covered by this warranty.
7. Warranty Claim Procedure
If you believe your product has a manufacturing defect covered by this warranty, please contact our Customer Support team.
To help us evaluate your claim, please provide:
Your order number;
Proof of purchase;
A description of the issue;
Clear photographs of the product;
Photographs of any product labels where available;
Videos demonstrating the issue, if applicable; and
Any additional information reasonably requested.
Providing complete information helps us process warranty claims more efficiently.
8. Warranty Evaluation
After receiving your warranty request, LightMyself will review the available information to determine whether the issue is covered under this Warranty Policy.
Where appropriate, we may request additional information or inspection before making a determination.
Submitting a warranty request does not automatically guarantee approval.
9. Replacement Parts
Where practical, LightMyself may provide replacement components instead of replacing the entire product.
Replacement parts may include, where applicable:
Glass shades;
Metal components;
Mounting hardware;
Drivers;
LED modules;
Electrical components; or
Other replacement parts.
Replacement parts may differ slightly in appearance due to product updates or manufacturing improvements.
10. Replacement Products
If replacement parts are not reasonably available, we may replace the product with:
The same model; or
A product of comparable specifications and value.
If neither option is reasonably available, another appropriate remedy may be offered where required or appropriate.
11. Limitation of Warranty
This Warranty Policy provides a limited warranty only.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, LightMyself disclaims any implied warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded.
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is generally not transferable unless required by applicable law.
Nothing in this Warranty Policy limits any mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, LightMyself shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from the use of any product covered by this Warranty Policy.
Where liability cannot legally be excluded, it will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
13. Changes to This Warranty Policy
LightMyself reserves the right to update or modify this Warranty Policy from time to time to reflect changes in products, business operations, legal requirements, or customer service practices.
The revised version will be posted on this page together with the updated "Last Updated" date.
